ABC - Anything But Chardonnay

Chardonnay was America's darling white wine for decades, but in recent years the tides have begun to turn.  And why shouldn't they?  There are numerous other delicious white wine grapes of prestige and distinction.  We here at Hope Valley Wine do still love our Chards, both the oaked and unoaked iterations of the grape, but it is nice to shake things up on occasion. Our goal this weekend will be to introduce you to a number of those wonderful non-Chardonnay options.  We'll be going global in this pursuit, with white wines from the US, Australia, Italy, and Chile.  Included in this batch are two of our absolute favorite new finds of 2017 in a dry Chenin Blanc from Australia, and a beautiful Tuscan Vermentino.  We love the other selections as well, but had worked with those more in past vintages.  A great example that no matter how much you know about wine there is always something new to find!  We're adding a bonus sixth wine to taste as well, since we don't want our fans who prefer red wines to feel left out.  To give those regulars something to taste we'll open a bottle of a great new bottle from the Catena family, an appellation specific Malbec done specifcally for restaurants and independent retail stores, like us!  We hope you can join us to find your new favorite!
