French Wines from Jubilee Selections

Wednesday, September 17th
5:00 - 7:00
Picture
Please join us this Wednesday evening as we welcome Stephan Tornad, Export Manager for Jubilee Selections, who represent some fantastic French wines that we have been really enjoying over the last year or so. Jubilee Wine Selection was formed with a very simple mission in mind - sell a selection of family-owned vineyards offering excellent quality at affordable prices. They've built a portfolio of farmers and winemakers that share the same core values they do, with wines that show the typicity of their appellation, respecting the terroir and resources. They are proud to represent an array of talented and young winemakers that are taking control of the family heritage. For our North Carolina market, the wines are Direct Imports for our friends at Haw River Wine Man, as when they are both the importer and wholesaler we get even better pricing. For our tasting tonight we will visit several different regions of France - Champagne, the Loire Valley, and the Rhone Valley. We hope you can join us for this mid-week treat!

Weekly Saturday Tasting

Australian Wines

Picture
Saturday, September 20th
1:00 - 3:00

Our tasting this week will focus on several of our current favorite Australian wines. Forget about the Yellow Tail and Koala Bay, and whatever other critter wines ruled the shelves in the early 2000s. The four wines we will have on Saturday show the class, refinement and value that can be found in today’s Australian wines. They still have the ripe fruit and bold personality that are so closely associated with many Aussie gems, but they don’t go over the top and have much more complexity and depth than the ultra low budget wines that dominate the grocery and big box store Australian selections. No jokes about dialect or down under, just delicious wines!

Yalumba Organic Viognier
South Australia, 2023

Ringbolt Cabernet Sauvignon
Margaret River, Western Australia, 2021

Yalumba 'Bush Vine' Grenache
Barossa, Australia, 2022

Seppeltsfield Shiraz
Barossa, Australia, 2021

Jansz 'Premium' Brut Rosé
