When HVW&B opened in 2008, we were very aware of the popularity that Malbec and other Argentine wines had garnered.  Honestly I thought the category might be at their peak of popularity at that time, but I could not have been more wrong, as they have continued to be a go-to favorite of many of our regular customers.  And with good reason - some of the best values in wines from around the globe right now come out of Argentina.  These are complex wines, often bursting with wonderful fruit, but often offering huge bang for the buck.  We've picked out a selection of some of our current favorites, and will be featuring them Saturday afternoon.

Extra Tasting Next Week!

Signorello Estate

We are excited to have the chance to do a great weeknight tasting next week, featuring the fantastic Napa Valley Wines of Signorello Estate.  Signorello Estate is a one-of-a-kind reflection of a wholly unique Napa Valley hillside vineyard and terroir. Planted and cultivated by the Signorello Family since 1977, these grapes are the foundation of their richly structured, intensely flavored Estate wines. Ray Signorello, Jr. has left no stone unturned, no philosophy unexplored, no ancient or modern viticulture and winemaking idea untried in his decades-long quest to produce the perfect Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon for his customers.  We will have the opportunity to taste two of their phenomenal Estate Red Wines, along with several wines that are combinations of Estate fruit and fruit purchased from vineyards hand selected by Ray Signorello Jr..  The more expensive wines we will taste will be available to pre-order at a discount for later in the week, and the more affordable options will be available for purchase that evening at a discount.  We will be joined for this tasting by Signorello National Sales Director Michael Moore.
