Bonhomie Wine Imports

This weekend we will be looking at some of the fantastic wines of Bonhomie Wine Imports.  Emerging from 15 years of working in food and wine in New York and New Jersey, Charles Woods began his own boutique company in 2008 with the mission to find traditional estates in France, Italy and Germany who produce wine that sing of their origins.  He believes in wine sourced from small farmers who do things by hand, value the wines birth in the vineyard and with a deep connection to their regional traditions. While not content with the term ‘natural wine,’ for its vagueness and broad connotations, Charlie prefers to let the wines and the producers tell the story themselves, and that they do.  Bonhomie means conviviality and a pervasive sense of jovial camaraderie. It is the stories that we tell one another that connect us and enhance our life’s experiences, our appreciation of our fellow human’s endeavors and the world we live in. It is in that spirit that we wish to do business, never forgetting that passion for food and wine exists to be shared, contemplated, discussed and enjoyed together as a gift that we can offer that returns to us in goodwill.  Our ambassador for Bonhomie is someone many of you might know - Noel Sherr, who was previously the proprietor of Cave Taureau in downtown Durham.  Noel represents Bonhomie Wine Imports as their director of National Sales and Media, and will be joining us for a look at five of their superb offerings.
