There are numerous ways to help yourself find wines to please your palate. You can identify a favorite grape, a region that seems to speak to your tastes, or a specific winery that seems to hit it out of the park with every bottle. One of the most useful ways to help yourself find new wines can also be to get to know certain importers. Most quality importers will have some through line that ties all their offerings together - this can be a specialization in a region or country, a certain flavor profile, or most often, a shared philosophy of style and production shared by the wineries they bring to the market. This Saturday, we are going to look into one such company that has really been catching our attention recently - Craft + Estate Imports out of Virginia. Their approach is guided by the belief that quality is the result of passion, talent, and terroir. They select only those producers whose philosophy, and willingness to push boundaries, speak through every bottle they make. They represent wines that invite discovery, beckon the adventurous, and guarantee a memorable experience. We've selected a global line up of wines from their portfolio to taste, and will be joined by regional manager David Faulkner to give us more insight into the wines and wineries. Of course, as we are now in November, we also kept our eyes open for wines that will shine with your Thanksgiving meal. We hope you can join us!
