Days of Wine & Rosé

Oh, the joy of a holiday long weekend is upon us!  Labor Day is a great celebration of the American worker, honored by most of us by doing as little work as we can.  It signifies that yet another summer has almost gone.  Soon we will be trading in beach days for tailgates, lazy summer evenings for sports practices, rehearsals and homework help.  Sundown will come a bit later than we like; sunrise, earlier.  In the wine world this start of the transition of seasons means a winding down of focus on Rosé wines.  While there are certainly those of us who love a good pink wine at any time of the year, (there may be no better match to a winter holiday feast!), for many wine drinkers the dog days of summer are the preferred time for this refreshing wine style.  So before you throw in the towel and start getting out your sweaters and jackets from storage, we want to throw one last Rosé fête to celebrate these delicious wines.  We've picked out a selection of five, including an Italian gem that has been my favorite of the whole year, and will have them open on Saturday as our last stand for just a little bit more summer.
