Saturday, February 22nd
4:30 - 7:00
Few importers can claim to have had as much impact on raising awareness of a country's wines as Jorge Ordóñez has had on Spanish wines in the United States. Since 1987 is has been his personal crusade to seek out and preserve Spain's rich history of grape growing and winemaking. He works exclusively with artisan producers who employ non-interventional, authentic methods both in the vineyard and the cellar, and produce and represent honest wines with a sense of history, culture, and place. He made a name for himself by elevating unheralded regions of Spain to international stardom. Many of his discoveries are now well known wineries to American fans of Spanish wines, and he helped bring attention to areas such as Rías Baixas and Toro, which were virutally unkown through much of the 20th century except by the farmers who toiled there. In the years since founding the import company, Señor Ordóñez has also expanded in developing his own labels and Bodega. For this Saturday's tasting we are going to sample five wines imported by Señor Ordóñez, from five different areas, and see first hand the quality of the wines his company brings to us.

Several Bonus Tastings Next Week!!
In addition to our standard Saturday Tasting, we have two bonus tastings next week, both featuring wines from Authentique Vin, one of our favorite French importers!
Winemaker Tasting with Jo Landron of Domaine Louvetrie
Monday, February 24th
5:00 - 7:00
We're doing a great wine dinner with Jo Landron next Wednesday, but since that dinner sold out we wanted to offer everyone a chance to taste his fantastic Loire Valley wines. Jo will join us in the store from 5:00 to 7:00 on Monday the 24th to pour his iconic wines!
Authentique Vin Tasting with Thomas Meunier
Friday, February 28th
5:00 - 7:00
This tasting was originally supposed to feature Cahors winemaker Manu Rybinski, but unfortunately he was unable to make the trip to the U.S. this time around. Lucky for us, Thomas Meunier, the importer behind Authentique Vin, was more than happy to jump in and see the tasting through. We'll taste through a selection of Manu's Cahors wines, as well as a wine or two from Domaine Galevan, the Rhone Valley gem in Thomas' portfolio. When it comes to tasting amazing French wines, too much is never enough!
