Well we all survived the pollen explosion and the first thunderstorms of the year, and now it looks like Spring weather may well settle delightfully in. With the weather changing and warming, so do many of our tastes in wine. We start to crave wines with more fruit forward styles, lighter body and crisper acidity. In a good touch of kismet, this also describes the types of wines that go with much of the wonderful produce that you start to see as we move into Spring, as well as many of the foods that go with a traditional Easter dinner. We looked to a collection of wines to taste this week that would be as good sipping on the patio as they will be with a full family dinner spread. For those who take part, ewe made sure these wines will make your Easter dinner a great success. The wine from the Toro region of Spain should shine especially well with roast lamb, as Tempranillo is always one of our favorites for pairing with lamb. Pinot Noir is also certainly known to match up well with a glazed ham, and the featured Sauvignon Blanc will knock your socks off with deviled eggs. So whether to celebrate Easter or to just celebrate Spring, we think we've got just the wines for you!
