Weekly Tastings

Two Stellar Tastings This Week!

12/9/2019

The holiday season is fully upon us, and we are making big plans to help you make the most of it.  For all of our tastings for the rest of the year we are going to raise the bar, and make sure that we are tasting wines a step above what we sample the rest of the year.  While we always take great pride in selecting delicious wines for all our tastings, for these last tastings of 2019 we are going in to price brackets and supply levels that we often approach.  These are going to be a LOT of fun!

Pre-Tariff French Wine Extravaganza
with special guest Thomas Meunier of Authentique Vin

Picture

Thursday, December 12th
5:00 - 7:00

Our friend Thomas Meunier imports some of our favorite French wines through his company Authentique Vin. He chose “Authentique” as the name of his company because this word sums up his conception of wine and life - authentic wines, made by authentic people.  As many of you know, French wines will unfortunately soon be likely to go way up in price.  We thought we would delve into some wines which had already landed in North Carolina before the tariffs started to effect pricing, and offer you some of the best for holiday treats!  We are going to open some of the absolute gems of Thomas' porftolio, and feature them at deep, deep discounts!  If you need a gift for a Francophile in your life, you don't want to miss this tasting!
* Some of these selections are of limited availability, and if we sell out we will not be able to order more!

Great Gifts Tasting - Part I

Picture

Saturday, December 14th
4:30 - 7:00

For the second superstar tasting of the week, we turn to our buddy Greg Pfaender, Hope Valley Wine alumnus and current rep for Empire Distributors.  We dug deep into Greg's treasure trove of a portfolio and found some great nuggets that need to be seen and tasted.  These wines are from all over and are of a variety of styles, but all have the combination of popular styles and huge reputations.  It's not often we get to open and taste wines like these, so don't miss this opportunity!
