Argentine Wines
Saturday, October 14th
1:00 - 3:00
1:00 - 3:00
Since the earliest days of Hope Valley Wine & Beverage, we were very aware of the popularity of Argentine Malbec. Honestly, I thought we might be at their peak of popularity when we opened in 2008, but I could not have been more wrong, as they have continued to be a go-to favorite of many of our regular customers. And with good reason - some of the best values in wines from around the globe right now come out of Argentina. These are complex wines, often bursting with wonderful fruit, and offering huge bang for the buck. Fifteen years later, and the wines of Argentina are still gaining momentum it seems. We're at a great moment now, when we are seeing even more grapes and styles being produced out of the country, leading to an even better variety of flavors in Argentine wine. We’re also seeing wines from more than just Mendoza, and areas like Salta and Patagonia are being discovered by American wine lovers. This Saturday, we’ll try some classic grape varieties as well as one more obscure, and we’ll taste wines from several different appellations from around the country. We hope you can join us for this great look at the breadth of wines from Argentina.
