A Taste of Spain

We return to Spain for this weekend's tasting, a region that continues to be a favorite of many of our long time customers. We will sample four wines from four major wine regions - Rías Baixas, Ribera del Duero, Rioja and Castilla y León. We'll do an excellent, traditional Albariño; a unique Ribera del Duero Blanco made from the Albillo Mayor grape, which is one of the parent grapes of Tempranillo and is related to the Torrontes grape out of Argentina; or course we'll do some Tempranillo with a wonderful Joven (young) Rioja, as well as a lovely Tempranillo based blend. Leading us through theses selections will be our long time friend, the one and only Laurence O. Vuelta, aka Dr. LOV. Laurence has been a great friend of Hope Valley Wine since our very first days, and his tastings always pull a great crowd. He has a following not only because of his exuberant personality, and not only because of his extensive wine knowledge, but also because he always brings absolutely delicious wines to us!
