Summer Bubbles

To our thinking, Sparkling Wines are the ultimate Summertime drink. Despite their dominance around New Year's in the middle of winter, the flavors and textures of Sparkling Wines are really at their best during the warmer weather of Summer. The carbonation in the wines makes them especially refreshing when sipping poolside, and the high toned fruit flavors are perfectly suited to the season. They work so well with many of the mixed drinks we love during warmer months, like Spritzes, Bellinis, Mimosas, and French 75s, amongst many others. On their own they are just as enjoyable, adding elegance and celebration to any occasion. The July 4th fireworks may be gone from the sky, but you can have your own sparklers in your glass for the rest of the Summer! We've pick four of our current favorites to show off this Saturday. We've got a great Pétillant Naturel, or Pét-Nat, a sparkling wine made in a traditional manner going back centuries, and follows organic agriculture and minimal intervention wine making style. We'll sample a wonderful Prosecco that might make you feel like you are relaxing in a Piazza in Venice, or if Spain is more to your liking then you'll love our featured Spanish Cava that will transport your daydreams to the Costa Brava. Of course, we cannot do a Bubbles tasting without including a classic French Champagne, and we've got a lovely one based on Pinot Meunier that we are excited to open.
