At many of our Saturday Tastings we delve into lesser known wine regions and grapes, and it is always fun to discover a new favorite. Sometimes, however, you just want the comfort of your best security blanket. After all, there can be a lot of truth in the old adage "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". So for this weekend we are going to taste through some classic wines from California, many of them grapes and styles that a lot of American wine drinkers started with. We're sticking with very traditional California grapes, and some of the iconic producers of these styles. For some of you this may still be a chance to try something new, and for others it will be a visit with an old friend, but either way it will be delicious!
