Wines of Alsace

This Saturday we will turn our focus onto some beautiful Alsatian wines.  The wines of Alsace are among the most aromatic in the world, and also some of the most food driven wines made.  These are wines that wine geeks and wine professionals often swoon over, but don't always translate to the everyday wine drinker.  Alsatian wines such as these are some of our favorites for this time of year, as their weightier style and richness make for a wonderful transition wine from the dense reds many of us drink in Winter, leading towards the crisp, zesty whites that are so delicious in the Summer.  We will focus, as the Alsatians do, mostly on the white wines of the region, but we have included one beautiful Pinot Noir, the one red wine Alsace is known for along with their incredible whites.  We've also included two superstar wines that we wouldn't often get to taste, but wanted to go all out for this event - but be forewarned, these are limited supply and when they are gone, they will truly be gone!  Our good friend Greg Pfaender of Empire Distirbutors will be pouring and educating, so you don't want to miss out on this one!
