When I opened the store in 2008, I was very aware of the popularity that Malbec and other Argentine wines had garnered.  Honestly I thought the category might be at their peak of popularity at that time, but I could not have been more wrong, as they have continued to be a go-to favorite of many of our regular customers.  And with good reason - some of the best values in wines from around the globe right now come out of Argentina.  These are complex wines, often bursting with wonderful fruit, yet still with more complex nuances, and offering huge bang for the buck.  We've picked out a selection of some of our current favorites, and will be featuring them Saturday afternoon.

Due to an offsite event, we will NOT be conducting our standard Saturday Tasting next week.  We will instead host Jen Salomé of The Haw River Wine Man for a great Friday night tasting on the 17th from 5:00 - 7:00.
