Un Autunno Italiano

 For our weekly Saturday tasting, we are going to experience an Italian Autumn!  Although it hasn't felt like it with our recent weather, we are at the very end of September, with October and the Autumn season coming at us fast.  With the change in the weather, (when it finally does actually change), many of our wine tastes start to evolve as well.  We start looking for wines with a bit more weight and stuffing, and with flavors that will go with the lovely earthy root vegetables and spices that start to dominate menus in the Fall.  We put our heads together this week with our dear friend Andrea Fullbright of The Haw River Wine Man, (one of our favorite importers of Italian gems), and picked out a selection of Italian wines that we think fit the season perfectly.
