New Year's Bubbles

2018 is almost done, but there is still time for us to have one last blast of a Saturday tasting. Of course, with Monday being New Year's Eve it is only natural that this Saturday's theme will be Sparkling Wines, and we knew just who to turn to as our guest host! Our dear friend Laurence O. Vuelta (the one and only Dr. L.O.V.) represents Aveníu Brands, who import Codorníu Winery, one of the first and most important producers of Spanish Cava, as well as some Italian gems. The Raventos family of Codorníu are also the founders and owners of Artesa Winery, their California winery that is a standard bearer in the Carneros Region. The superstars of this week's tasting will be two Artesa Grand Reserve Sparkling Wines, two of California's most premium bubbles. The winery has pulled from Codorníu's centuries of experience in making delicious sparkling wines, and have combined that knowledge with incredible quality California fruit to make wines that will steal the show! We'll also showcase a couple of their classic Spanish Cavas, as well as a lovely Italian Prosecco. Dr. L.O.V. will guide us through each with his charm and knowledge, and get your New Year's party started early!
