Great Gift Wines

For our last weekly Saturday tasting before Christmas we wanted to step things up a notch, and delve into some wines of a caliber that we cannot open on a regular basis. We've selected five premium, limited wines that should bring big smiles to the faces of your wine loving friends and family. We'll start with a legendary Sonoma Sparkling wine, and then sample a Russian River Chardonnay made by renowned winemaker Phillipe Melka. Then we will move on to three impressive reds, including two wines from California superstar winemaker Kirk Venge, including Croix Pinot Noir, his newest boutique selection, and a wonderful blend from our favorite Washington State winery Rotie Cellars. We always look forward to tastings at this time of year as we get to pop some corks we usually can't, and a lot of the fun is that we also get to share them with you!

Spending time with good friends is a big part of the holiday season for many, so we are thrilled to be able to welcom our good friend Zingo Munger of Cape Classics imports to the store on Monday the 19th. Cape Classics is the importers behind many of our favorite South African wines, as fits the common theme for all our tastings this last week leading to Christmas we've selected some upper echelon wines from them with that will make superb gifts.

With Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve falling on Saturdays this year, we will not be holding our standard Saturday tasting on either date. We will, however, conduct tastings on the Friday evenings beforehand!
