Mas de Daumas Gassac Tasting
Thursday, December 7th
5:00 - 7:00
The Guibert family found the property in the early 1970s, and it quickly caught the eye of several prominent geologists and enologists, who wanted to be involved with this unknown little winery based on the potential of the land alone. Happily for the rest of us, the property has lived up to it's esteemed early reputation! The Guiberts were crucial in showing that high quality wines could be made in an area better known for making vast quantities of plonk. They were stewards of the land, and brought the concepts of organic and bio-dynamic agriculture to many farmers in the Langeudoc. And most of all, they grew amazing fruit and crafted delicious, elegant wines.
Many of you may rememeber Virgile from A Southern Season in years past, but for more recent history he has had the honor to represent these incredible wines in the United States. These are special wines, and we hope to see you can join us to taste!
