Being the fourth generation of winemakers in his family, he feels intimately connected to his land. By striving to live in harmony with nature he feels he can achieve a personal equilibrim, and give meaning to his family's life. "We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children". His belief in this has led him to fully organic farming, increasing the biodiversity in his parcels. The organic farming movement, he feels, has the merit of expressing his commitment to nature. In his quest for balance, he is convinced that the less he intervenes, the more the terroir can express itself. Knowing how to do only what is essential remains an art.
We will taste four lovely wines made by M. Gassier - the red and white of his Cercius label done in collaboration with importer Eric Solomon, as well as the red and white of his own Nostre Pais label from the Costières de NÎmes appellation.
